I am an Australian migration lawyer with a focus on complex cases (i.e., situations where things have gone wrong). I have a particular interest in character-related visa cancellations and refusals under s 501 of the Migration Act and applications for judicial review of migration decisions to the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia and Federal Court of Australia. I have also advised/acted in matters involving significant overstays, refusal bars, and complex protection claims.

I have appeared as a solicitor-advocate in matters before the Administrative Appeals Tribunal (in both its Migration and Refugee Division and General Division), as well as the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia and Federal Court of Australia (including Full Court). I have also instructed counsel in matters before those courts, as well as the High Court of Australia. A list of cases I have been involved in can be found is attached to my CV.

I am currently working remotely from outside of Australia. As a result, I am focussing on providing contracted and consultancy services to other migration agents and lawyers, rather than representing clients directly.
